Our unique SpeedMemo system, which uses a highly efficient knowledge repetition programme called SuperMemo, can be integrated with any of the services we offer and used to revise and reinforce language learnt with our teaching methods.

We continually research new ways of enhancing the learning process by using the power of computer software. We believe that when combined with real contact with a professional and experienced English teacher, computer assistance has tremendous potential.

We regard one-to-one teaching as a unique opportunity to efficiently meet the needs of the client and use we use methods particularly suited to this special situation.

Methods

We have a very flexible approach to methodology. Our aim is to encourage a natural command of English through an efficient learning process. We use a variety of carefully selected up-to-date teaching material to meet the different needs of clients.
Reading - most of our clients like to keep up-to-date with the issues of the day so much of the reading material we supply in our tailored programmes is taken from real newspaper and magzine articles. The reading material may cover a variety of areas including news, culture and business and is relevant and of interest to our clients. We use techniques for exploiting this material that are especially suited to one-to-one and small group lessons enabling the learner to assimilate language efficiently.

Grammar - Business and general English grammar is taught in a cyclical way so that the student's knowledge is always refreshed. We place special emphasis on the use of grammar in authentic and relevant contexts.

Functional and situational English - We attach particular importance to functional and high-frequency expressions used in common everyday situations. The purpose of teaching this language, which is often neglected in traditional language courses, is to give the client, right from the very beginning, the confidence to use practical and natural English in typical business or general situations (for example social interaction, negotiating, travelling and shopping).

Pronunciation - Our method of teaching pronunciation involves making learners aware of the difficulties that different foreign learners have with articulating English sounds and advice on how to correct common mis-pronunciations. Attention is paid to the correct articulation of English sounds, sentence rhythm and intonation.

Traditional courses - The courses we have chosen for our traditional programme have been carefully selected, are all up-to-date and use only the most efficient methodology as approved by modern linguists.

Listening to the student!! Our teachers are trained to be aware of the typical errors made by foreign learners of English and can efficiently explain and correct them in order to encourage a natural use of English.
